The Dwelling Place is the circuit's mission project in Heanor; it is a community hub in the former Mansfield Road Methodist Church, focused on serving the neighbourhood through radical hospitality. The Dwelling Place was opened on 24th December 2022 by Councillor Paul Jones. There was a wonderful Christmas Eve service and brunch provided by Mary's Kitchen.
The Dwelling Place is in a great location to serve the people of the local community.
Current activities include a Get Together Cafe which is open on Thursdays from 12.00pm to 3.00pm. A light lunch is served at 12 o'clock; there are activities from 1 o'clock; and musical entertainment from 2 o'clock. The cost is £2.
A Craft Group meets fortnightly on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. Bring your own craft and join our very welcoming group of crafters.
The Food Cabin opened on 24th November and will be open every Friday from 3.30pm to 5.30.pm. The cost is £5 for 10 items for a family of up to 5 people or £7 for 15 items for a family of 6 or more. There is a choice of one hundred items. A registration form needs to be completed.
