Matlock Moor Methodist Church has been a centre for Christian worship for over a century. It opened as a Primitive Methodist Chapel in 1903 but recently it was extended and renovated to transform it into a community resource.
Our 'Chapel and Community Centre' is now adjacent to two large new housing developments with which we have started to make links through community activities run by the church and by others. The Covid-19 crisis has interrupted our plans but we have re-opened for yoga classes and for some services of worship and we look forward to the day when we can fully resume our outreach activities.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(St. Paul in his letter to the Romans, chapter 8 verses 38-39)
