Welcome Service
On 31st August over 100 people met at West Hallam Methodist Church to welcome the Rev Tim Simms (pictured) and his wife, Pauline, to the Mid Derbyshire Methodist Circuit.
There were people from churches across the circuit and from Tim's previous circuit, members of the Christian Motorcycle Association, of which Tim is a member, and other invited guests. Also in attendance were the Deputy Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Kate Fennelly, and her son Mason and the Mayor of Amber Valley, Councillor Tony Holmes.
Tim was officially welcomed to the circuit by the Chair of the Nottingham and Derby Methodist District, the Rev Andy Fyall (pictured with Tim).
The congregation had to move into the church hall part way through the service because one member was unwell. We're happy to say he has made a full recovery.
