Life is full of journeys, but how often do we have time to talk together about faith on the way? Walking in Faith is a way of doing just that.
Beginning during Lent 2022*, each month's walk will be in, or near to, the area covered by the Mid Derbyshire Methodist Circuit. The walks will begin and end in a pre-arranged place and there will be a choice of two routes – one relatively easy and one a bit more physically challenging – though the materials provided to help us to talk about faith will be the same.
We'll get some exercise along the way, but the walks will be much more than just getting from 'a' to 'b' and back to 'a' again! At the same time as walking, we will be intentional about having some theme-related conversations about faith and life, for which materials will be supplied at the starting point. Each walk will include a planned lunch-time stop, where it will be possible to have a larger group conversation and a prayer time, and the walkers will be able to continue in conversation as they head back to where they started. You don't have to be a Christian to come along – just interested in faith and keen to get some exercise!
The walks will be from 10.30am to around 2pm on the 3rd Saturday of each month (19th March, 16th April, 21st May, 18th June, 16th July)*. More information about each walk will come out a few weeks before it is due to happen, but if you have any questions please contact:
